Arcs and Helix Stills, Lake Havasu, AZ 2013

 

This video shows the motions used to create the two still photos shown.
Two sequential firings of aerial shells are captured on a still camera with as two separate images.
The shells are custom built with cables anchoring them to the ground and themselves.
The result is a tightly orchestrated painting of light that exists only in memory and photographs.
